Acceptance of these terms
By accessing or using Railio's website or product (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to accept these terms for that organization.
The Service
Railio is an AI copilot for rail maintenance. It retrieves and summarizes guidance from a customer's own manuals, 49 CFR, unit history, and senior technician notes, and cites the sources it relied on.
Guidance is decision support, not a substitute for qualified judgment
Railio's answers are generated from the customer's own reference material and may be incomplete or contain errors. The Service is a decision support tool. It supports and does not replace the judgment of a qualified person, the applicable OEM procedures, and all FRA and other regulatory requirements. You are responsible for independently verifying any guidance before acting on it, and for ensuring that inspections and repairs are performed and certified by appropriately qualified personnel.
Accounts and access
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.
Acceptable use
- Do not use the Service unlawfully or in violation of any applicable regulation.
- Do not attempt to breach, probe, or circumvent the Service's security or tenant isolation.
- Do not upload content you do not have the right to use, or attempt to access another organization's data.
Customer data and ownership
As between you and Railio, you retain ownership of the content your organization submits to the Service, including your manuals, tickets, photos, parts records, and technician notes. You grant Railio only the rights needed to host, process, and display that content in order to provide the Service to you. We do not sell your content, we do not share it with other customers, and we do not use it to train any model, ours or an outside provider's.
How the Service processes your content
To generate an answer, Railio sends our model provider the conversation you are working in, the passages retrieved from your own reference material, and any photo you attach. That provider does not use API content to train its models. The Service decides on our server which organization a request belongs to and what the model is allowed to reach, and that boundary cannot be widened by a client, by a user, or by the model itself. Our Privacy Policy sets out what is sent and how long content is kept.
Confidentiality
We treat the content your organization puts into the Service as confidential. We do not disclose it to anyone other than the service providers that help us operate the Service, who are bound by confidentiality and security obligations, or where the law requires it. This obligation continues after you stop using the Service.
Data processing agreements and security review
For the content your organization submits, your organization is the controller and Railio is the processor: we process that content on your instructions in order to provide the Service. If your organization requires a signed data processing agreement, a completed security questionnaire, or specific commitments about where data is stored and how long it is kept, email contact@railio.xyz and we will put that in place before you go live. A signed agreement controls where it conflicts with these terms.
Reference material you provide
You are responsible for having the right to put your reference material into the Service, including OEM manuals and other licensed documents. If you lose the right to use a document, tell us and we will remove it along with the passages derived from it.
Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, and content we provide, is owned by Railio and its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. These terms do not grant you any right in the Service except the limited right to use it as described here.
Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and noninfringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, free of errors, or that its guidance will be accurate or complete.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Railio will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Service.
Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if these terms are violated or if necessary to protect the Service or its users. After termination you may request an export of your organization's content, and we delete it as described in our Privacy Policy.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above and, where appropriate, by additional notice. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
